Blue Valley Mountain Biking (Sinai)

Fun mountain bike riding on “slick rock” islands within the Blue Valley desert some 10km from St Katherine’s village. The Blue Valley owes its name to the numerous rocks, scattered across an area of nearly 15 sq km, painted blue by the Belgian artist Jean Vera Me in 1980, to commemorate the end of the conflict between Egypt and Israel. The paint has peeled off and faded over the years. I noticed the difference between 2005 and 2009. You can also bike to Dahab from the Blue Valley via Wadi Zhagara/Nasb
